Are your staff first aid trained?


Yes. All Happy Sitters are first aid and CPR trained. When a sitter arrives at your home for a booking, they carry a fully stocked first aid kid with them. For more information on our qualified staff, please visit our website here.




Does Happy Sitters offer services at events like weddings, corporate parties and more?


Yes! Happy Sitters offers a special event service. Our qualified staff will arrive at your venue with games, organized activities and programs to keep the little ones engaged while the parents enjoy the event. To find out more, please visit our website here.




How do you perform background checks on your sitters?


All Happy Sitters employees are extensively screened before joining our team. This screening includes a reference check, as well as a Vulnerable Sector Screening performed by the Toronto Police Department.




Do Happy Sitters perform housekeeping duties like laundry, cleaning and cooking?


Cleaning and washing are tasks our sitters are not employed to do unless it directly relates to a program or activity that they run themselves. As an example, if a sitter was to run a baking or arts and crafts booking or if a sitter prepares a snack for the child, it would be their responsibility to clean any items used and leave the space the way they found it.

If the booking falls over a meal time, a discussion between you and our administration team will occur prior to the booking to ensure our sitters have everything they need to facilitate that.




Do I have to become a member to have access to your services?


No! Happy Sitters does not charge a membership fee. You can however buy a 10-Pass for our babysitting services. More information on our pricing can be found here.




Should I tip my Happy Sitter?


Our Happy Sitters earn a good hourly rate caring for your children. Tips are not expected but they are still a great show of appreciation towards your sitter’s skills and great service. Please hand any tips in cash directly to your Happy Sitter.




I have more than 2 children, should I expect a price increase?


We are glad you asked. Any booking involving more than 2 children will incur an additional cost of $5 per additional child per hour.




How are you keeping my family safe during Covid-19?


The safety of our clients and staff is our number one priority. As a result, we have implemented a set of comprehensive Covid-19 protocols that will be followed at each booking. Our Covid-19 Policy can be found here.




What should I prepare before a Happy Sitter arrives at my home?


Nothing. Your Happy Sitter will receive a checklist before arriving to your home. They will also arrive with all supplies necessary for the type of program you have chosen for the booking. Upon arriving, it is encouraged that you walk your Happy Sitter through the play areas of your home, the bathroom and point out any off-limit rooms or areas of concerns if there are any.




I have 2 children who both seem to be interested two different programs, is this do-able?


Of course. Our Happy Sitters are trained to run a variety of activities from at least two different programs. If you have two children with completely different interests, our sitters are trained to come up with interesting programs that cater to different ages, interests, and engage everyone involved.
